Vietnamese-Americans Celebrating Freedom needs volunteers! A project of the Vietamese Community of Metropolitan DC, we are participating in America's Independance Day Parade again for the 17th consecutive year. The parade takes place on July 4th in downtown DC and is watched by over 400,000 people every year! We're proud to be one of the 75 groups chosen to participate nationally. Start: 12:00 pm
End: 10:00 pm
Every year it's a blast, just camping out on the Mall from noon to night. Here in Washington, it's extra special because it's an all day affair to remember. There are lots of activities going on...from outdoor concerts, arts and crafts fairs, visiting museums, kite flying, frisbee, volleyball, to just lounging on the grass playing cards and waiting for the fireworks display over the DC skies. | ||
