For all the players....
hello everybody,
I'd like to hear your thoughts on some activities you'd like to do. Please send me your ideas whenever you get a chance. For the time being, here are my ideas and let me know if your thumbs up or thumbs down for them.
Ideas for the spring & summer:
Golf! (i live right near topgolf in alexandria) - I'll set up driving-range get togethers or a round of golf for the wannabes (btw i score in the 90's) Also, for you Noobs interested in golf, but to scared to try on their own, I'd be willing to give lessons to anyone willing to listen.
tennis - i'd set up matches for similarly-skilled players and if theres enough interest we could do a tournament later on.
board games!! - hopefully i'm not treading on any other group, but for the couch all stars i could set up a board games events or meetings. (nothing wrong with a good game of chess, scrabble, checkers, axis & allies, candyland, operation, boggle, cranium, etc. especially if your drunk!)
Group activities: two-hand touch football, soccer, kickball, softball, volleyball, dodgeball, tetherball, basketball, ultimate frisbee, "insert your flaver here" is all game as well.
anyways those are some ideas. let me know what you think, tell your friends about it, and i'll start organizing some get togethers when i get back (business trips for most of April =P ).
thanks for your time,
phuong (self proclaimed recreational sports all-star!)
