Autumn Moon Festival
Good afternoon,
Every September, VCSMW along with local groups in the area puts together what is widely known as the best children's festival in town, the annual Moon Festival, or Tet Trung Thu. VCSMW (Vietnamese Cultural Society of Metropolitan Washington) organizes summer camps, language classes, and cultural events that foster leadership among Vietnamese-American youths, and help them to better adapt and contribute to the community.
We are currently looking for volunteers to contribute to the festival to make it even better this year. There is a wide array of opportunities for people with different skill sets and interests. We are especially interest in recruiting volunteers to plan this year's festival. Volunteers should be able to commit to monthly meetings which start in May and end in September—approximately a few hours each month. The majority of the work, however, is on the day of the event. Your time and dedication will give you a chance give back to the community, build connections, and network with different groups in the DC area.
