There are THREE days worth of events coming up commemorating the Vietnamese immigrant experience.
JOURNEY TO FREEDOM: THE VIETNAMESE REFUGEES’ RETROSPECTIVE marks a courageous Vietnamese American Heritage, risking lives for Freedom , Welcome Reception on May 1st at 6pm, Fortune Restaurant at Seven Corners, Symposium at the Library of Congress, LJ119 (05/02/09 – 08:30am – 04:30pm), Follow up Conference at GMU, Dewberry Hall - Film Screening at Johnson Cinema (05/04/09 – 09:00am -04:00pm), Candlelight Vigil at the Capitol Reflection Pool, in front of the Capitol Building (05/04/09 – 06:00pm 08:00pm).

Charity Picnic & Volleyball Event
Sunday June 1
Looking for some volleyball players to form a team for this charity benefit. If we can get 6-7 players per team, that would be great. If we get more people, we can form two or more teams. This would support a worthwhile cause while having great, competitive fun. Proceeds to go to the orphans and disabled children. Please let me know if you are interested and also your skill level (beginner, intermediate, advanced). I need to know early, so I can register the team by 5/26.
